Alfa Romeo Museum Prepares To Welcome Clubs & Enthusiasts.
ALFA ROMEO MUSEUM REOPENS ON THE BRAND’S 110TH ANNIVERSARY TO REVEAL ITS HIDDEN TREASURES.
The Alfa Romeo museum will reopen to the public on 24 June, the day on which the brand will celebrate its 110thanniversary. The festivities for the Biscione’s anniversary will take place in the museum at Arese and will continue across the weekend.
Special Surprise For Visitors;
The museum has a very special surprise in store for clubs and enthusiasts, as for the first time ever visitors will have the opportunity to see certain areas that have previously remained closed to the public and were not included in the museum itinerary. Visitor will be able to go “backstage of the museum” on the two floors of the former Management Centre in Arese where the collection is stored where they can see the following:
- An additional 150 vehicles
- Dozens of automotive, aeronautical and marine engines
- Hundreds of models, trophies, artworks, accessories
- A racing motorboat and much more
All these materials, which are normally not on display, allow the museum to organise its temporary exhibitions, and for Alfa Romeo to participate in external events and exhibitions. Tours of the collection must be booked in advance, in groups of up to 10 people. Alfa Romeo owners visiting on Wednesday 24 June, and across the weekend, are also invited to parade their cars on the museum’s track and listen to a series of talks on the history of the brand.
New Giulia GTA On Display;
Moreover, on this special anniversary, the new Giulia GTA – the limited edition conceived for the 110th anniversary of the brand – will be present in Arese. The Alfa Romeo Museum will show itself in a partially renewed form as it reopens. Organised into three main thematic areas – Timeline, which represents its industrial continuity; Bellezza (Beauty), which combines style, design and lifestyle; Velocità (Speed), a synthesis of technology, sportiness and driving pleasure – some sections have been revisited, with new exhibitions including the Sai Ambrosini 1001 Grifo aircraft know as “Angelo dei bimbi” (Children’s Angel) that starred in a charitable raid on the route from Milan to Buenos Aires.
New Safety Measures In Place;
Inaugurated in 1976 and entirely rebuilt and refurbished in 2015, the Alfa Romeo museum has been equipped to welcome the public with a series of safety measures aimed at safeguarding the health of guests and staff. The Museum stretches over a surface of more than 6,000m2 and has wide outdoor areas, which can guarantee sufficient space to ensure that visitors and staff can keep the necessary distances.
