Inverted launches high performance electrified Range Rover Classic.

British EV regeneration specialist, Inverted, announces the launch of its debut model, an electrified Range Rover Classic. Sensitively restored for a high-performance, emission-free future, #001 model is the first road-registered example of its kind in the UK and is delivered to the highest quality and sustainability standards.

Inverted’s Range Rover Classic is powered by a reconditioned low-mileage Tesla 80kWh battery module and Large Drive Unit. With a new gearset, new oil pump and Limited Slip Differential, this electrified icon produces 450bhp and 600 Nm of torque, with a 0-60mph of around 5 seconds. Three different drive modes, Eco, Sport and Off-Road provide varying power outputs and regenerative brake levels.

Four wheel drive is retained and the original axles have been restored and uprated to reflect the significant increase in power and uprated Alcon front brakes provide the required stopping power.  #001 is equipped with the optional road handling pack, featuring adjustable shock absorbers, anti-roll bars and 25% stiffer springs which provide the required balance between handling performance and comfort.

This unique high-performance electrified Classic model has a range of 200 miles. There is a 6.6kW on-board charger and a CCS charger that can deliver up to 100kW charging, providing a 20% to 80% charge in around 34 minutes at a rapid charge point. 

Every Inverted Range Rover Classic will undergo a full restoration alongside the full electrification of the powertrain. The exterior is returned to its former glory, retaining and enhancing the classic styling that the car is known for. The interior is designed to create luxury and modernity without detracting from the original features.  Each car is tailored to the customer’s bespoke colour and trim specification.

Inside #001, the combination of sustainable Mocha leather from Muirhead (the world’s lowest carbon leather from the Scottish Leather Group), and contrasting Harris Tweed gives the feeling of ultimate British luxury and style, at home in the city or countryside.  The car is equipped with soundproofing, airconditioning, central locking, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, reverse camera, high end sound system, heated seats and USB charge points.

Inverted will source the desired Classic model – available in 2-door, 4-door or LSE specification – and work hand-in-hand with customers to deliver bespoke, tailored solutions that they will love now and in the future.  Pricing starts from £225,000 +VAT¹ and bespoke build orders can now be placed.  To ensure rarity, a maximum of six examples will be built each year.
