Honda’s 2022 Electric Vision strategy for Europe, and ‘201 OFFERS.

• Accelerated ‘Electric Vision’ strategy will see all Honda’s European mainstream models electrified by 2022, three years earlier than previously planned.
• New global ‘Honda e:TECHNOLOGY’ branding revealed for all future electrified products.
• Six electrified cars to be launched over the next 36 months.
• Next generation of iconic Jazz features two-motor hybrid technology as standard. Addition of new ‘Crosstar’ variant.
• New Hybrid-only Jazz launches in Ireland Spring 2020.

Honda laid out its plans for its near-term model line-up in October as part of its accelerated Electric Vision 2022 program. Honda is further accelerating its electrification plans for Europe by moving forward its goal for all its European mainstream models to feature electrified powertrains by 2022. The bold new target announced during an ‘Electric Vision’ event in Amsterdam, is three years ahead of the previously announced 2025 goal, demonstrating the confidence Honda has in its electric and hybrid powertrain technology.

This acceleration will see 6 electrified models launched over the next 36 months into Europe, with the Honda e and new Hybrid-only Jazz leading the way in 2020. The next-generation Hybrid-only Jazz will be the first model in Honda’s European line-up to wear the new powertrain badging. Sales of the next-generation Honda Hybrid-only Jazz in Ireland is set to start in Spring 2020, with the Honda e EV to follow thereafter.
