The IONIQ 5 success is based on its stunning design, size, technology as well as a broader appeal compared to other comparable cars in the Segment. Uniquely it is available from €37,995 compared to the other main selling Large EVs such as the ID4 which starts at €51,790 and the EV 6 which retails from €50,000. This makes the IONIQ5 more affordable in relative terms and a real practical car for families differentiating it from its rivals. Hyundai Dealer nationwide have large backorders for the IONIQ 5 across all price points.

Commenting on the IONIQ 5 sales figures Sarah Hayes (Marketing Director) said: “The IONIQ5 is a game change for the Hyundai brand and has recently received several Car of the Year awards including German Car of the Year, Irish Times Car of the Year and is shortlisted for Irish car of the Year 2022.”

Most importantly Hyundai have achieved the highest YOY increase in sales at 33.8% of Irelands top ten car brands.
