New Cars Coming Our Way in 2026.
The list below will provide drivers with an insight into some of the new cars we can expect to see on Irish roads during 2026.
Alfa Romeo Giulia & Stelvio.
Despite the popularity of SUVs, Alfa Romeo has said it doesn’t want to become an SUV-only brand, which is why the new Giulia electric executive saloon is on its way. A high-performance Quadrifoglio version with close to 1000bhp has also been confirmed. A new Stelvio is also due, with hybrid and electric powertrain options.
Alpine A390.
Following on from the Alpine A290 hot hatch, the Alpine A390 will be the French brand’s second electric model. It is related to the Renault Scenic under the skin, but it will combine sporty looks with outstanding performance.
BMW iX3 Neue Klasse
The new BMW iX3 Neue Klasse will be the first of a new generation of EVs from the iconic German brand. The new iX3 will feature a computer system that is ten times more responsive than before – something BMW claims will help to boost efficiency and customisation.
BYD ATTO 2 & SEAL 6 Touring.
The new BYD ATTO 2 is a compact electric SUV with a striking exterior. Its short overhangs and powerful curves on the body surface create a sporty look, while the robust exterior emphasises strength and durability. Also due from BYD is the SEAL 6 Touring, which features a station-wagon body style for enhanced practicality.
Citroën C3 & C5 Aircross.
The new Citroën C3 Aircross is a family SUV crafted to be the perfect companion for families and individuals with active lifestyles, while the new C5 Aircross SUV promises to be a genuine cocoon on wheels, designed with families in mind.
Cupra Raval.
The all-electric Cupra Raval supermini is the production version of the Spanish brand’s head-turning UrbanRebel concept. Compact and agile, the Raval features a design inspired by Barcelona’s El Raval district, focusing on a sporty, emotional, and rebellious spirit.
DS No.4 & No.7
The DS No.4 is a new hybrid hatchback, which combines performance, efficiency and comfort, along with a striking exterior design. Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrains will be offered. The DS No.7 is an all-new version of the French brand’s most popular model (DS7), and is set to be a quirky alternative to the mid-size SUV mainstream.
Fiat Grande Panda & 500 Ibrida.
The new Fiat Grande Panda EV promises a great-value price tag, along with a useful range, funky looks and bucket-loads of Italian charm. This all-new car will be the first of a family of Panda variants. Also due is a Fiat 500 Ibrida, which will transplant a hybrid set up into the body of the 500e.
Hyundai IONIQ 3
The New IONIQ 3 is a compact electric hatchback, previewed by the Concept THREE, and it features Hyundai’s new ‘Art of Steel’ design language, along with a focus on practicality, and a variety of high-tech interior elements.
Jeep Compass, Recon and Wagoneer S.
The 2026 Jeep Compass features a significant redesign with a new exterior look, a revamped, high-tech interior, and multiple powertrain options. The Jeep Recon is an electric off-roader that features a lush interior, and a reimagined design, while the mighty Wagoneer S is an all-electric SUV with up to 600hp, all-wheel drive, and a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 3.4-seconds.
Kia EV5, EV2 & K4
The new Kia EV2 is an all-electric, B-segment SUV that is thoughtfully styled and ideally sized. Its striking exterior is sure to turn heads, while its interior space emphasises restorative relaxation for every journey. However, first up in 2026 is the larger EV5, which takes its chunky and upright design cues from the EV9 flagship. The new Kia K4 is essentially a replacement for the Ceed hatchback, and it promises a modern design, latest-generation tech, and spacious accommodation.
Land Rover – Range Rover EV
The first electric Range Rover will look almost identical to its petrol and diesel siblings, which have been on sale since 2022, with all-terrain capabilities that exceed those of any other luxury electric SUV.
LEAPMOTOR B10 & B05
Following hot on the heels of the recently-launched LEAPMOTOR T03 and C10 comes the LEAPMOTOR B10, which is an all-electric SUV with clean lines and clever proportions, along with a spacious and versatile interior. Also due in 2026 is the B05 family hatchback.
Mazda CX-5
The all-new Mazda CX-5 is a bold evolution of its best-selling SUV, and it features a refined design, intuitive technology, and an optimised 2.5-litre petrol engine. It retains the iconic shape of its predecessor, while advancing Mazda’s Kodo design language and integrating the latest Skyactiv technology first introduced with the original CX-5 in 2012.
Mercedes-Benz GLC
The new GLC is the first all-electric version of Mercedes’ best-selling SUV, and is packed with the latest tech. The famous Mercedes front grille has been turned into a light show that uses 140 LEDs, providing terrific visual appeal. From launch, the new GLC will use a 94.5kWh battery for an official range of up to 704km.
MG IM5 & IM6
The IM5 is described by MG as being a pure electric, technologically-advanced saloon that combines exquisite design, advanced driving intelligence and phenomenal performance, while the IM6 is a pure electric intelligent SUV with supercar power and advanced driving dynamics, all wrapped in an elegantly flowing form.
Nissan LEAF EV & Micra EV
Nissan was the EV pioneer with its innovative LEAF family hatchback back in 2010, and the all-new LEAF EV is set to be just as innovative when it arrives in Nissan dealerships. Also due is the all-new, fully-electric Micra, which is closely related to the multi award-winning Renault 5 E-Tech Electric.
Peugeot e-208 GTI
The new Peugeot e-208 GTI is the first 100% electric GTI ever produced by the iconic French manufacturer, and it is the expression of contemporary and sustainable driving pleasure, combining unique and class-leading performance in the B segment with exceptional everyday versatility.
Polestar 5
The new Polestar 5 is where the future of the sports car and the Grand Tourer merge in a pure, performance GT. Designed and engineered in-house, it features a low nose, a low roofline, and a wide stance, along with an advanced chassis and sophisticated electric drivetrain.
Renault Clio & Twingo E-Tech.
The new Renault Clio packs a punch. Fun, playful, friendly, and still so chic, the Clio promises to build on the strengths of its hugely-successful predecessor, with pure-petrol and petrol-electric hybrid powerplant options. Also due is the new Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric, which is billed as being “the car the city has been waiting for”. The new Twingo is a compact city car with a streamlined and original design language.
Skoda Epiq
The new Skoda Epiq EV is a compact SUV crossover that measures in at just over 4-metres in length, with a spacious interior and up to 490-litres of luggage capacity. It promises to be an excellent value proposition too.
SMART #2, #5 & #6
The new, all-electric smart #5 promises a surprisingly spacious interior, distinctive styling, and excellent handling characteristics. Also planned for release in 2026 are the smart #2 and flagship #6.
Volkswagen ID. Polo & T-Roc.
The VW ID. Polo is an upcoming all-electric compact hatchback that aims to be an accessible EV in terms of price. It will be available in different power outputs and with two battery sizes. The all-new VW T-Roc offers a confident stance and sporty performance. With its sharpened exterior design, new level of quality, and enhanced safety features, the new T-Roc exudes confidence and emphasises its strong personality.
Volvo EX60 SUV & ES90 Saloon
The new Volvo EX60 fully-electric 5-seater SUV defines a new era for safety, and it comes with an impressive electric range, a 10-80% estimated DC fast charging time of 30 minutes, and a host of premium features. The new ES90 is the first fully-electric saloon car from the brand, and it is also the most aerodynamic Volvo car ever made. It comes with a range of up to 647km, and sets a new standard of luxury in the premium saloon class.
