Positioned alongside the all-new Mazda CX-80, the 2025 Mazda CX-60 complements Mazda’s flagship SUV-range, underscoring Mazda’s commitment to delivering sophisticated vehicles that blend performance with elegance.
The 2025 Mazda CX-60 introduces several enhancements. This includes the addition of the elegant Zircon Sand exterior colour, technical revisions, and chassis refinements, as well as significant interior upgrades on the Homura grades. The 2025 model also introduces two new high grades: Homura Plus and Takumi Plus, embodying the Japanese craftsmanship that is felt in every detail.
Handling and suspension have been meticulously refined for 2025, ensuring the CX-60 delivers a seamless Jinba Ittai experience. Recalibrated stability systems enhance overall handling, and the suspension system provides comfort and stability, with the double wishbone at the front and multi-link set-up at the rear. Soft rear springs and firm shock absorbers ensure a smooth, comfortable ride.
Building on Mazda’s multi-solution approach, the 2025 model continues to provide two powertrains, to meet different lifestyles and preferences. The e-Skyactiv PHEV1 plug-in hybrid powertrain features a Skyactiv-G 2.5, four-cylinder direct injection petrol with a large, 129 kW electric motor and a 355V, 17.8 kWh high-capacity battery. This combination of engine and motor delivers a total system output of 327 PS/241 kW and abundant torque of 500 Nm, making it the most powerful road car Mazda has ever produced. The 2025 Mazda CX-60 PHEV delivers highly impressive performance, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, and on to a limited maximum speed of 200 km/h.
The e-Skyactiv D2 diesel powertrain is available in two configurations, both equipped with M Hybrid Boost – Mazda’s 48V mild hybrid system, combining high output with excellent fuel economy and emissions performance. The lower powered e-Skyactiv D engine develops 200 PS/147 kW at 3600-4200 rpm and maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1400-3000 rpm. With 153 Nm of torque supplied from the M Hybrid Boost system’s electric motor, this will accelerate the CX-60 from 0-100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and on to a maximum speed of 212 km/h. Despite this impressive performance, the 200 PS CX-60 still returns an average fuel economy of only 5.0-5.1 l/100 km and generates CO2 emissions of just 129-133 g/km. Generating 254 PS/187 kW at 3750 rpm, the AWD e-Skyactiv D develops maximum torque of 550 Nm at 1500-2400 rpm and is once again assisted by up to 153 Nm of electric motor torque. This means a 0-100 km/h time of 7.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 219 km/h. Average fuel economy is 5.3-5.5 l/100 km, and CO2 emissions are just 138-142 g/km.
Safety remains paramount with an array of i-Activsense technologies, contributing to the vehicle’s Euro NCAP 5-star rating, and advanced features like See-Through View and enhanced cruise control systems.
