Driving The Passion: Bright Motor Group Ignites Opel Ireland’s Driving the Passion Programme for 2024

Opel, a proud supporter of Irish Rugby and the official car partner of the IRFU, is thrilled to announce the continuation of their Driving the Passion program throughout 2024. In 2023, Opel actively participated in the initiative by donating hundreds of Gilbert rugby training balls to local rugby clubs nationwide, with a special emphasis on women’s teams. Building on the success of collaborations with prominent clubs in Ireland during 2023, Bright Motor Group Opel has kicked off the 2024 Driving the Passion program by generously donating rugby training balls to the Swords RFC Women’s rugby team, courtesy of Opel Ireland and its Driving the Passion initiative.

The coaching staff from the visited club deeply appreciates Opel Ireland’s generous gesture. Noel Williams, Vice President of Swords RFC, warmly expresses gratitude, stating, “I want to extend heartfelt thanks on behalf of Swords RFC to Bright Motor Group and Opel for their incredibly generous donation of rugby balls. This support is truly invaluable to our team, and the addition of these high-quality rugby balls will undoubtedly enhance our training sessions.”

Speaking at the presentation, Edward Brady, Brand Manager at Bright Motor Group Opel, stated, “Proudly representing Bright Motor Group and Opel, I am delighted to have contributed to the handover of rugby balls to Swords RFC. This collaboration not only reaffirms our commitment to local sports but also highlights Opel’s dedication to actively supporting local rugby clubs at the grassroots level, empowering the future stars of Irish rugby. We eagerly anticipate deepening our connections with Swords RFC and remain open to exploring similar meaningful partnerships with other local rugby clubs in the near future.”
