New Load-Lugging Opel Movano Arrives in Ireland.
NEW LOAD-LUGGING OPEL MOVANO ARRIVES IN IRELAND.
The first units of the all-new Opel Movano have arrived in Ireland. The New Movano has all of Opel‘s famous build quality and practicality, now enhanced with a refreshed design, new powertrains and a wide range of payload capabilities of up to 1790KG. The all-electric version, due later this year, will complement the load-lugging 2.2 turbo diesel 140hp engine on offer from launch, and complete the electrification of the entire Opel light commercial vehicle portfolio. The new Movano panel van retails from €31,995 plus delivery related charges, or from €26,050 ex-VAT. It is now available to order for the new July 222-registration plate at your local Opel Dealer.
Powered by a 2.2 turbo diesel developing 140hp and an impressive 340Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox, Opel Movano’s load area is among the best-in-class, with easy access through wide-opening doors and up to 17m3 capacity, with space of up to four Euro-pallets. With a gross vehicle weight of 3.5t, a towing capacity of up to 3000KG and available in both panel van and chassis cab body types from launch, factory conversions for both Tipper and Dropside versions will be available to order in the coming months.
A wide range of lengths and heights are on offer in the panel van range, from L2H1 up to L4H3, with both Edition and Sportive trims listed. In chassis cab guise, customers can choose between L2 or L3 lengths, in Edition trim, retailing from €30,995 plus delivery, or from €25,237 ex-VAT. Payloads for the panel van range from 1380KG up to 1570KG, dependent on version, with the chassis cab offering from 1730KG up to 1790KG.
James Brooks, Managing Director at Opel Ireland, said: “The arrival of the all-new Opel Movano comes at a very opportune time. Opel is currently enjoying a strong LCV market share growth in 2022, commanding 10.4% national market share, an increase of 7.5%, year to date May. With an historical strength in this segment, the new Movano is sure to see the continuation of this phenomenal growth trend for Opel. We’re also enormously proud to claim Ireland’s best-selling electric van title year to date with the new Opel Vivaro-e and we further look forward to the arrival of the new 100% electric Movano-e later this year, which, matched to the recently arrived Combo-e Cargo van, will complete the range of our zero-emissions light commercial vehicles.”
The newest addition to Opel’s LCV portfolio is available in Ireland in two trims. The panel van Edition trim enjoys as standard, electronic cruise control, hill start assist, a full size spare wheel, full steel bulkhead, electric windows, steering wheel mounted audio / cruise controls, DAB radio, USB connectivity, Bluetooth, 12V socket in cargo area, double passenger bench seat, 15” wheels and daytime running lamps.
The panel van Sportive trim, retailing from €33,995 plus delivery, or from €27,676 ex-VAT, adds air conditioning, leather steering wheel, tablet / iPad holder and glovebox, overhead storage compartment, chrome instrument cluster, 5” colour touchscreen, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, auto wipers and auto lights and rear pedestrian warning sound.
