Toyota Ireland partners with Big Brother, Big Sister.

Toyota Ireland has partnered with youth organisation Foróige for its Big Brother Big Sister mentorship programme.

As part of the world’s largest youth mentoring programme, Big Brother Big Sister aims to provide friendship, support and guidance from a caring adult volunteer that will aid young people in making positive decisions and guiding them on their journeys into adulthood.

Toyota says its support will encourage the participation of headquarters, dealership staff members and people across Ireland to buddy up with a young person (aged 10 – 18) in their local community.

Consistently committed to delivering its brand promise of ‘Built for a Better World’, Toyota Ireland says it is passionate about this mentorship programme as it believes it can have a profound impact and ultimately help to transform the lives of Irish young people.

All you have to do is take one hour out of your week, doing simple day to day things with a young person.

An affiliate of Big Brother Big Sister International, the Irish programme was first established in 2001 by Foróige and the HSE West.

Having expanded nationally in 2006, the mentorship initiative is now available in 20 counties across the country with the sole purpose of enabling young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their development and the development of society.
